Search engine marketing done right, here are 6 reasons some business website does not rank on top of google search result page  SEO

Your competitors have better content than yours– say you have a website or a blog that talks about cakes. You are very passionate about it have content on your page, your competitor may have been in the business before you and have loads of content about cakes that have been crawled over time by google. Google will rank them first because they probably have so much that may be relevant to search audiences, for Google it’s all about page relevance to users to achieve this, SEO must be in order. Building sustainable search engine marketing isn’t so much of a daunting task, however, you need to pay attention to SEO rules to win.

Improper usage of Keywords – Now the question here is, what kind of keyword do you want to write for? If your business is about cakes, then you should be writing about cakes and not ice cream. What word or words do you think your ideal clients will search with each time they need a cake? Then figure out how to include those words in your content.

Poor Link Building practices- How is your site linking to other blogs and websites and how are they linking to you and also are you linking to other pages on your website. So it’s all about link building internally (are linking to other website and blog post and externally (are other site and blogs of high quality linking to you)

Your webpage load time– You could be running your blog post or website on word press for instance and it isn’t loading fast enough. Now, look at it critically, if you are googling and it’s very important for you to give a good experience to users and a website isn’t loading fast enough would you want to have that website come up on top on the search engine result page (SERP) when you have others loading two times or three times faster? The answer is NO, because google doesn’t want users to have a bad experience if your site is placed on top of the SERP the load time may give users a bad experience so it is important to validate site loading speed.

Your website doesn’t have a good user experience– As earlier mentioned about the experience when talking about site load time, Google wants to always give users a good experience. They want users to be able to navigate easily in a website, they want the site to load super-fast, google doesn’t want any spam content, they don’t want pop-ups, overbearing ads on the webpage they want to find content that is required by the user. Say for instance “cake recipe” people want to find relevant websites with cake recipes. People want to be able to click on the link and find some very good content about cake recipes. Google wants to give the best of experience at all times.

Your website de-indexed by mistake– Here Google needs to be able to index on the pages on your website, if you have a website with 100 recipes, you want Google to have access to all the 100 recipes so they can be indexed on Google organic search.
